China is the world's third biggest nation in the world today, and that stems from the Chinese rule of the past, and how much land they claimed back in the day as well as how populous the country is along with numerous diversity. Their nation is great for agriculture because they were lucky to receive fertile land and have well irrigated fields. The Chinese mainland is dotted with mountains and outcroppings, but the land is so vast that the Chinese always had room to spare and used that extra room to improve their empire. The Chinese had to deal with a multitude of disasters, whether it be monsoon seasons, flooding from their many rivers, sporadic earthquakes, or even landslides from their mountains, but overall those disasters are few enough and far enough in between that China was able to prosper.
