Ancient Chinese architecture took a very long time to develop, but was such a great architectural system that it is still prevalent to architects to this day. When it developed many historical and wonderful architecture work were built such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. The use of timber framework was developed from the Han Dynasty where the use of wood was improved and was the main use of architecture. Architecture technology was highly developed during Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties the use of bricks and timber were improved. Bricks were used to created many Buddhist architectural constructions during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Ancient Chinese architecture are praised for its elegance and beautiful designs. Chinese art was also renowned for being a beautiful representation of the world, because often times they would incorporate nature into their work and used Buddhist influence in their work, making sure things aligned with Feng Shui. They were infamous for their amazing jade and porcelain work as well as their clay sculptures. They were also known as the best bronze-casters in history and were the most innovative culture in all of society and were responsible for technological advances such as paper, gunpowder, print, and compasses. These were just a handful of the significant contributions that the ancient Chinese have given the world at large.
